Who are the pet sitters?
Carey Pet & Home Care sitters are pet owners and animal lovers.  They are honest, dependable, mature adults.  All pet sitters are
screened extensively.

When you become a new client of Carey Pet & Home Care, your pet sitter will come to your home for the Registration Visit.  This
initial visit usually takes place within the week before your trip.  During the Registration Visit, your sitter will meet you become
familiar with your home and get to know your pets.  Some paperwork will also be completed during this visit.  Because we
understand that pets form a bond with their Carey Pet & Home Care pet sitter, we will attempt to provide you with the same pet sitter
for future reservations.

Our pet sitters service an area within a 10-mile radius of their homes.  This not only ensures that they are familiar with the
neighborhood and will provide you with highly personalized service, but can also be very important in the case of inclement weather
conditions.

YES!  All sitters are screened prior to contracting with Carey Pet & Home Care and are bonded and insured.  All pet sitters go
through a thorough interview process and have a background check completed which includes credit, criminal and motor vehicle.

What is Carey Pet & Home Care’s service area?
Our primary service areas are Guthrie through Norman and Yukon through Midwest City.

Can Carey Pet & Home Care administer medications to my pet?
Your pet sitter can perform simple medication procedures on a best effort basis.  More invasive procedures involving insulin
injections can be performed by a few of our sitters.  Pilling is performed on a best effort basis as there are some animals that will
not allow themselves to be pilled by anyone other than their people.  If, in the opinion of the pet sitter, more harm than good will
result from medicine administration, your pet will not receive the medicine.  If you believe your pet will be difficult to pill or that your
pet will be in serious physical danger if it does not receive its medication, you should contact a veterinary technician or other
individual who specializes in this type of activity.  Or if, in the opinion of the pet sitter during the pet sitting, the animal needs to have a
veterinary technician administer the medication, the pet sitter may take the animal to your primary veterinarian to be boarded there
so that your pet will receive the medication necessary.
